about
The "Finnish indie rock supergroup" Kaksipäinen Koira, formed by Teksti-TV 666 genius Tero Huotari and Aliisa Keränen, known from Bad Sauna and Lala Salama bands, releases their third single and final single from their debut album "Paholaisen temppeli" (Temple of the Devil), out May 10 on All That Plazz.
The band's two previous singles, "Hologrammi" and "Kuolema voittaa aina" (Death Always Wins), have been well received. The singles have been played frequently on Radio Helsinki, and the band has already featured on the cover of Spotify's editioral Finland Indie Today playlist. The actively touring band has performed at various venues including Turku's Indie Nights and the Lost In Music festival in Tampere. In March, the band played its first international show in Stockholm. Huotari's Teksti-TV 666 band sells out large clubs in Sweden, thus Kaksipäinen Koira is also garnering interest in neighboring countries.
Kaksipäinen Koira is a mildly psychedelic punk and garage rock band whose music also incorporates elements of the 80s new wave, starkly grey gothic rock, luminous shoegaze, and even krautrock.
Their fierce and fast songs tear open the listener's consciousness with cutting melodies and gripping guitars, and after the swift attack, the listener finds their brain tickled by soft, luminous vocals powered by garage rock, propelling them to the next level of reality.
Live, this two-headed monster grows a snake-like resonant tail, which squeezes out the last bit of distress from the listener, replacing it with bliss and happiness.
lyrics
Hiljaisuus täyttää tämän tyhjän talon
Ei sen käytävillä ketään näy
Kapeat seinät, homeen haju
Muistot nousevat pintaan tahtomattakin
